Congratulations!

A few sets of congratulations are in order after a massive day at Zest Invitational. The first is to our entire Seaford Storm group, once again Seaford set the standard at a tournament for sportsmanship, behaviour, competitive hunger and willingness to go the extra mile to help out. We find ourselves saying this at every event but it should not be taken for granted, you are a special group of students and athletes and your coaches, teachers and managers could not be more proud of the way you conduct yourselves.
Congratulations also to the Open Girls team who rebounded from their semi-finals loss at Jr League to beat the same group of girls (with a few handy additions) to finish 3rd in Women’s tournament, beating those same players who knocked you out of finals this year must have felt particularly good!
Finally, the Open Honours boys deserve massive praise for their performance today, the boys were worked to exhaustion and finished top if the men’s draw at the end of the pool round, after coming from a set down to comprehensively outclass, outwork and outplay a very strong SAVC All-Stars team. Te boys out on display everything we are looking forward to seeing from them in Melbourne, attacking ruthlessly and defending the court with incredible desperation. They played Gold standard volleyball and we look forward to seeing them carry that form into Melbourne. Ultimately the boys run out of juice in grand final today, but left a remarkable impression, with the opposition conceding that they had been outplayed by all boys all day!
Thank you all for your remarkable contributions towards today, if the Zest Invitational was a true preview of Melbourne then we are headed towards an amazing trip
